By downloading, installing, or using Handwritten Studio ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Handwritten Studio is a handwriting and note-taking application that you install on a device you own or control. The app includes a free tier for local use and an optional paid subscription ("Studio+") that adds cloud sync across devices.
You can use Handwritten Studio without creating an account. If you choose to sign in with Google to enable Cloud Sync, you are responsible for the security of your Google account and for any activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account in good standing.
You retain all rights to the notes, drawings, documents, and other content you create with Handwritten Studio ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership over Your Content.
If you enable Cloud Sync, you grant Handwritten Studio a limited license to store, transmit, and process Your Content on our servers solely for the purpose of providing the sync service to you. This license ends when you stop using Cloud Sync or delete Your Content.
Studio+ is a recurring subscription billed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play or Apple ID account settings.
Refunds are handled according to the policies of the store you purchased through (Google Play or Apple App Store). Handwritten Studio does not process refunds directly.
If your subscription lapses, the app remains fully usable for local work. Cloud-synced content is retained for a grace period so you can resubscribe without losing access.
You agree not to use Handwritten Studio to:
Handwritten Studio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do our best to keep the app working reliably, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, that the app will be free of defects, or that data will never be lost. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important work.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Handwritten Studio and its creators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.
You can stop using Handwritten Studio at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Cloud Sync for users who violate these terms.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
